Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (Arabic: جامع الشيخ زايد الكبير‎‎) is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, and is considered to be the key site for worship in the country. The design of the mosque was done by a Syrian architect named Yousef Abdelky.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is literally a must to see in Abu Dhabi because of the mix of gold, marble, crystals and water. The gardens and exterior is beautiful yet upon entering, the huge crystal chandeliers grab attention. The hand knotted prayer rug is stunning as well. It was interesting to hear the calm chanting of the Quran in the background. The Blue Mosque in Istanbul is beautiful yet the Grand Mosque is uniquely stunning.
