This second biggest city in Moldova is situated close to the Ukrainian border and it remains generally unchanged from the period of the Soviet Union. If you want a feel of the Soviet design architecture and other landmarks, this is where you should plan to visit. Once you arrive in Tiraspol, an interesting method of exploring the area is through using the many trolley buses, which are also quite cheap. The main attractions include statues of Lenin and Alexander Suvorov, as well as armored tanks.
