Nizwa castle is the reminder of unbeatable Nizwa town during the Oman’s historical turbulent periods. Nizwa was Oman’s capital in the 17th century. The Imam Sultan Bin Al-Ya’arubi was the leader of this Sultanat. During his time The Nizwa castle was built. Then it was used as his headquarters. The central tower is the most attractive part of Nizwas fort. This 150 foot circular tower will blow the tourist’s mind anytime. There are false doors, wells, secret shafts, turrets etc. in the castle.
