Sterling Travel

In 1973, Sterling Travel Ltd started trading from 8 Cannon Lane, quickly establishing itself as Gibraltar leading travel agents. In John Morello and George Mascarenhas, Sterling Travel had the best travel team and together with the innovative style of personalised service, this proved to be the recipe for success.

In 1976, Cannon Travel Ltd commenced trading under George Mascarenhas from 209 Main Street, developing and consolidating the personal service that had first been so successful at Sterling Travel. Sterling Travel and Cannon Travel traded and developed separately for 13 years.

In 1989, George Mascarenhas acquired control of Sterling Travel and both operations continued to trade successfully from their respective offices at John Mackintosh Square and Main Street. By 1991, however, the successful consolidation of both trading operations was complete and resulted in the joint operation from the much bigger Mackintosh Square office. This is where we are today.
