Kenya is scrapping its visa-on-arrival scheme, meaning you will need a travel permit before you land. You can apply for a visa online through this link. The e-visa could take anything between two to seven working days to come through.

To avoid any surprises, Kenya is allowing for a grace period of two months to transition to the new system. Till 30 August, passengers can either secure an e-visa or get it on arrival. Starting 1 September 2015, however, you will need an e-visa before you land in Kenya.
