Tourism Authority of Thailand has appointed Miss World Australia to launch its “Women’s Journey Thailand” campaign for the second consecutive year.

To mark the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 85th birthday, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has assigned August 2017 as the month for female travellers, continuing its inaugural “Women’s Journey Thailand” campaign.

As part of the campaign, TAT will invite Miss World Australia 2017 and the Miss World Australia Runners Up, as Australia representatives to attend the Opening Ceremony of “Women’s Journey Thailand” in Bangkok, before embarking on a wide range of activities throughout Thailand.

Rujira Chatchalermkit, TAT Sydney Director, described the appeal of the campaign to both groups and individual female travellers:

“This campaign was very successful last year in encouraging female travellers – whether travelling alone or with a group of friends – with a fantastic range of special offers, discounts and privileges during August.

“This year we aim to continue to promote Thailand through the unique Thai Local Experiences, encouraging women to discover Thailand’s many amazing stories, through unique and memorable local experiences.

“Miss World Australia 2017 and the runners up with visit Thailand to sample some of these local experiences so they can share their stories with Australian audiences,” continued Chatchalermkit.

TAT’s Sydney Office will also continue to launch new and innovative campaigns for women throughout 2017, as well as promote Thailand as a quality destination for the Australian market.
